Bloomin Great Gardens launched live on the 4th of February, right before the spring rush that they see every year for gardening enquiries. The task that Tora was challenged with, was illustrating the landscaping jobs that Bloomin Great Gardens had completed throughout the year.
The site was always going to revolve around a photo gallery and the use of photos to illustrate the majority of jobs that Bloomin Great Gardens had done in 2010. Tora first went about this by taking the landscaping photos that had been taken during the year and editing them. This editing involved things such as adding light and colour, cropping to certain specifications and taking out portions of photos that did not add value to the site (i.e. shadows of workers, neighbours etc).
The next big step was designing the layout of the site with all the different aspects including articles, photos, slideshows, banners for advertising and testimonials and lastly of course the photo gallery. These had to gel in a natural way; just as any good garden does.
Once the layout was designed, Tora went about stitching it all together. The last thing to note in regards to this project was the introduction of Facebook and Twitter icons as the business had recently started to social network.
