Dance Zumba!!! The name says it all. Fun, friendly and leaving you feeling great and this was the aim of the website as well. The site needed to look bright and enthusiastic, encouraging people to get up from their desks, away from their PC's and join in. The site needed to feel the rhythm of the music.
Both Clair and Aramis are fully qualified dance instructors and they wanted this to come through on their site along with the passion they have for dance.
The thinking behind this site was twofold:
- make it colourful, bright, enthusiastic and;
- make it warm and personal.
While choosing the colours we had to also make sure that we stayed within the colour confines of the Zumba brand. We also needed to make sure that whenever we had Zumba on the site we had the correct Trademarks and Copyrights attached. The good news was that we were able to use a lot of their marketing materials and with a little bit of Photoshop melded them to the website.
To make it warm and personal we included photos of Clair and Aramis dancing (a great Cuban wedding shot) and of course photos of the Zumba classes actually in action.
This site did not need to be overcomplicated and rather it needed to be simple, allowing users to find out what Zumba was, who was running the classes and when the classes were - all within 3 clicks of a mouse.
